DENVER - URBAN HEAT IN HISTORIC REDLINED AREAS

This is a map that shows historic redlined areas of Denver in relation to urban heat today.

Historic redlined residential areas (Grade C - “Definitely Declining” and D -“Hazardous”) on average have higher urban temperatures today when compared to areas that were graded A - "Best" or B - "Still Desirable."  Residential areas with grades C and D also account for more land coverage - Another inequity.

Not really new information, but I wanted to show this data for Denver and test if urban heat was still higher for historic redlined areas using Denver’s new urban heat data.
